Masked raiders attack two men in Littlemore

Three masked raiders attacked two men after breaking into a house in Cowley Road, Littlemore.

The men, who were carrying various weapons, burst into the house shortly before 11pm on Sunday.

Three people were in the house at the time, two men, one aged 39 and one aged 27, and a 31-year-old woman. Police said both the men sustained 'significant injuries' during the incident.

The older man received a broken arm and a cut to the head. The younger one received a cut to his eye and bruising on his face.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and officers are searching for the third man.

Detective Inspector Simon Morton said “I’d like to reassure the public this type of incident is a very rare occurrence and I don’t believe this is a random attack.

"I would appeal for any one who is a witness or has any information about the attack to come forward, if you don’t want to give your name please call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111”.
