A 24-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with rape.
Yasin Mohamed, of Aston Street, Oxford appeared at Oxford Magistrates Court today charged with rape, kidnap, and robbery in connection with an incident in Oxford.
It follows an attack on a 19-year-old foreign student who was walking along St Clement's Street on Tuesday morning.
Mohamed spoke only to confirm his name. No bail application was made.
He is expected to appear at Oxford Crown Court next Friday, March 26.
