Police are appealing for help in tracing two girls, after a rucksack was misplaced on an Oxford bus.

At about 3pm on Tuesday, April 20, a 58-year-old Chinese woman got o nto the No 8 Oxford Bus Company bus in Headington heading into the city centre.

The woman alighted from the bus in Queen Street at about 3.15pm, but it was not until about 3.45pm that she realised she had misplaced her rucksack.

The rucksack was small, dark blue in colour and marked “Bodypack” in small letters.

Anya Young, from the Oxford Crime Investigation Management Unit (CIMU), said: “The woman had come to England from Monaco, where she had undergone specialist medical treatment.

“Part of this treatment, was to have MRI scans taken of her head and torso, the results of which were in her rucksack.

“She has been informed by the clinic she attended that these are the only copies of the scans and results, and as such she would have to pay to have these done again.

“This was an expensive procedure that the woman cannot afford to repeat. “We believe that the two girls captured on the CCTV image may have seen the bag and know what happened to it.

“I am keen to speak with these girls and would ask them, or anyone who recognises them, to come contact me as soon as possible.”
