Police today named the man found dead in the River Thames near Folly Bridge, Oxford, yesterday.
He was Andrew Swadling, 35, of Marlborough Road, Oxford.
Police said Mr Swadling’s death was still being treated as unexplained and officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
Det Chief Insp Colin Paine said: “I’d like to reiterate that we are still at the early stages of our investigation and we are trying to determine the circumstances behind Mr Swadling’s death.
“We would like speak to anyone who was in the Folly Bridge area from around 10am yesterday, who may be able to shed some light on the incidents that led to his death.”
