Man arrested in Drayton carrying 3ft-long piece of wood

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in Drayton, near Abingdon.
The man was arrested shortly before 11pm yesterday in Steventon Road, after he was seen carrying a 3ft-long piece of wood by officers who were passing by on patrol.
The man, who is from the Drayton area, has been bailed to appear at Abingdon police station on September 9.
