The family of a motorcyclist who died following a collision with a van on the A40 near Lewknor today paid tribute to him.
David Caudell, 29, of Slough, died in the crash on Aston Hill, on July 20, when his Yamaha R1 was involved in a collision with a Mercedes Sprinter van travelling in the opposite direction.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The van driver, a 50-year-old man from Droitwich, in Worcestershire, was unhurt.
Mr Caudell was the middle son of Bob and Christine Caudell, between two sisters, Debbie and Sarah.
Mr Caudell's family issued a statement which said: "He always loved life and would try all kinds of adventures, bungy jumping, parachute jumping, whitewater rafting, snowboarding, flying lessons, track day at Thruxton.
"He seldom missed an F1 GP and often went to Silverstone to see it.
"He loved his bike, having just bought the Yamaha R1 trading in his Yamaha R6 after owning it for two years.
"In May this year he and a friend toured Europe on their bikes riding the Nurburgring.
"He worked at terminal 5 London Heathrow where he met his soul mate Melanie who he loved dearly.
"On the day of the accident his sister, Sarah, gave birth to her first child and David planned to visit the next day when he heard.
"Life will never quite be the same without him. Happiness and sadness on the same day."
