AN Oxford band will be dropping into one of Oxfordshire’s last remaining record shops.

On Monday, rock band Little Fish will be at Rapture, in the Woolgate Shopping Centre, Witney. The band will be at the shop from 5pm, to launch latest album Baffled and Beat, which is released the same day on Island Records.

Singer-songwriter Julia Sophie and drummer Neil Greenaway will be signing copies of the album, which will be sold at Rapture. Gary Smith, owner of Rapture, which claims to be the only remaining independent record shop in the county, said: “We are proud and excited to have Little Fish play for us on the day their amazing debut album is released.

“They are one of Rapture’s favourite bands and are going to be one of the most important acts of 2010/11, which is another coup for us.” In April, fans of Scouting for Girls packed into the shop to hear the band play its number one single This Ain’t A Love Song in their acoustic set.

The band, also known for songs She’s So Lovely and Elvis Ain’t Dead, last played at the store in December 2008.

Rapture has previously played host to bands We are Scientists and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.
