Police today issued a CCTV image in the hunt for a man wanted for a rape of a teenager in Oxford.

The incident happened in the city in the early hours of Saturday, October 23.

The victim, a 19-year-old girl, met a black man, aged in his twenties, in Anubar in Park End Street. They then went to the Bridge nightclub and were seen leaving at about 3am.

Police said the offender was about 5ft 8in tall, with short dark hair and was wearing a light coloured long-sleeved hooded top, jeans and trainers.

Det Con Lisa Heaton said: “We believe the incident took place inside a car after they had left the club.

“The crucial thing for us now is finding out what type of car this was and where it went after they got into it.

“We would ask anyone who was in the area that evening, who remembers seeing this man with a white woman, 5ft 8in tall, medium build, with distinctive shoulder-length blond hair.

“She was wearing a distinctive pink sleeveless top with ruffles on the front, black leggings and black boots.

“She remembers feeling unwell and opeing the car door to be sick in a very brightly lit area. Did you see this happening? It would have been some time between 3am and 5am.”
