Oxford City Council's new Barton Pool development was one of two runners-up in the Property Week Retail and Leisure awards.
Property and construction consultancy Ridge acted as project manager, employers agent, quantity surveyor, planning supervisor and M&E consultants for the scheme, which was completed in March. HLM acted as Architects.
The £2.8m centre formed part of the regeneration programme planned for Barton and provides a 25 metre pool, multi-purpose community room and associated changing village facilities.
The awards put the spotlight on the best new leisure and retail projects and Dartford's new Olympic standard Judo Centre scooped top prize.
