Blenheim Palace staff have been putting the finishing touches to an exhibition marking the stately home’s reopening for the season.
The work of British artist John Piper will be on display in the Long Library of the Woodstock palace, which was closed for the winter. The exhibition will focus on Piper’s watercolour depictions of Blenheim Palace, which were commissioned by the current Duke of Marlborough.
Exhibition curator Jeri Bapasola, pictured, archival researcher at the palace, said: “John Piper’s paintings of Blenheim Palace represent some of the most striking 20th century images of the house.”
The work will be on display from today until April 9.
