WOODLAND adventurers set out on a half-term exploration at the Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre.
Curious children went about finding dinosaurs and animals in a treasure hunt in the woods yesterday.
One of those hunting out the envelopes containing pictures and taking part in a nature-inspired cookery session was four-year-old St Nicholas Primary School pupil Aaron McIntyre.
He told the Oxford Mail: “I was very pleased. I made a badger biscuit. There was a dinosaur in the woods but it wasn’t real – there were just its bones.”
Aaron’s mum Alice McIntyre, of Longmead, Abingdon, said: “They were looking for animals and clues in envelopes.
“There’s some lovely nature trails and they all got into the bird house. Of course it scared all the birds away, but they loved it. It’s nice that it’s all enclosed and it’s really sweet that they all get to run around together.
“Aaron also really enjoyed making the badger biscuits.”
