It’s so easy to take the 21st century for granted, isn’t it?
Yet just 100 years ago, life for the ordinary man and woman was a daily fight for survival. No wonder Albert Parker of Bicester claims, after researching his family tree: “It is unbelievable what that generation went through.”
A tidy reminder to be sure of just how lucky most of us are today.
