Leader is keeping quiet on contest

OXFORDSHIRE County Council leader Keith Mitchell has refused to comment on the upcoming leadership election.

Mr Mitchell is stepping down in May. Councillors David Robertson and Pete Handley have so far thrown their hats into the ring for his job.

But Mr Mitchell said: “I am making no comment. It is for the Conservative Group to determine.”
