Campaigning doctor looks at NHS changes

A BANBURY hospital campaigner will speak about the impact of controversial changes to the NHS next week.
Former Horton Hospital consultant physician Dr Peter Fisher will address the Banbury Labour Women’s Group on Wednesday.
Dr Fisher – who helped retain maternity services at the hospital through the Keep The Horton campaign – will speak at the Mill Arts Centre at 7.30pm.
The changes mean GPs will control most of the NHS budget and private providers will be encouraged to bid for NHS contracts.
