So noone lives in them then? Council houses were fine in the 50's and 60's but they served their purpose . Public housing is not now always the solution. It is frequently the problem. Why is housing in so much demand in Oxford, a low wage area? Of course we have to tiptoe round the subject but I suspect I understand why 20% of an 80% turn-out voted for Marine Le Pen yesterday, don't you LPMV?
Very true just look at Ryder Close up from me to see how many "locals" were given houses there, and how many from outside the area were. P.S. Outside the area could mean 2,000 miles outside the area."

Suspended prison term for fraudster

A 35-year-old man has been given a suspended sentence for almost £10,000 of benefit fraud.

David Kanza, of Gloucester Green, Oxford, admitted failing to declare his employment for the purpose of obtaining housing benefit, council tax benefit, income support and jobseeker’s allowance between November 2007 and February 2010.

He stole a total of £9,936.64 and was sentenced by Oxford magistrates on Friday.

He was given a six-week prison setence, suspended for 12 months, and told to do 180 hours’ unpaid work.

He must also pay back the money.
