Grab a spear - it's asparagus season

ASPARAGUS fans across the county can now have their fill as its spears begin to poke their heads above the soil.
The vegetable has a notoriously short growing season which begins at the end of April and finishes in mid June.
Now at Medley Manor Farm, in Binsey Lane, Oxford, asparagus lovers can drop by and pick their own. Farm owner Charlie Gee said: “Some people really look forward to this time of year.”
