UPDATED: Rescue attempt after car crashes into taxi

FIREFIGHTERS are cutting a motorist free from the wreckage of a car after it crashed into a taxi in North Oxford.

The fire service was called to the junction of Banbury Road and North Parade at 11.49am.

Banbury Road is still closed and diversions are in place around Bevington Road.

The ambulance service was also called to the scene and treated three people for minor injuries.

Initial reports from the fire service claimed the car had crashed into a building, but this is not the case.

Can't make out where the collision was, was it the car in the driveway, illegally reversing onto a main road, that hit the taxi?

Why are a lot of posts getting deleted, don't you like a debate O.M. ???

Probably could have seen what happened had CCTV been in the taxi....

It's because your comment was inappropriate, vile and tasteless bart-simpson. It's no joking matter to be in a car-crash, and your comment offended a lot of people. It certainly wasn't a debate!

I suspect it may have been towed in there, or that one of both cars spun around after the collision. My picture was taken at 1141 UTC and this article says it happened at 1149 - almost an hour before.
