Botley Road suffers gridlock

OXFORD'S Botley Road is gridlocked in both directions because stop/go signs are being used to replace traffic lights at the Seacourt Tower junction.

Oxfordshire County Council is due to complete work on the junction, which will include installing new lights, later today.

Queues are stretching along Botley Road to and from the city centre, along West Way and up to the roundabout at Botley interchange on the A34.

Not been gridlocked for about 3 hours, how can this be breaking news?

Nothing like blocked at 4pm as her indoors beat me home that way, now the A40 going West from the BMW garage is at a standstill but that's normal.

It WAS gridlocked this morning and early afternoon. However by the time you bothered to publish this story, at 2.51pm, it was clear and moving perfectly well.

.... in fact close the road altogether and put this tree of light that's destined for south park bang in the middle - tree of light indeed, who's paying for that dare i ask ?
