Triple celebration for town residents
7:00am Saturday 30th June 2012 in News
RESIDENTS can enjoy a triple celebration tomorrow in Banbury’s town centre.
Civic leaders will mark Armed Forces Day with a parade by servicemen and women through the town, while Old Town shops have organised entertainment and St Mary’s Church will host its annual fete.
The parade will leave Market Place at 11.30am and travel up Parsons Street, left into Horsefair, around Banbury Cross and down High Street before being dismissed at Broad Street.
There will be displays and stands by the Town Hall in Bridge Street from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
And Parsons Street, Church Lane and White Lion Walk will be alive with music, colour and laughter for this year’s Old Town Party. Co-sponsored by Oxford Mail sister paper the Banbury Cake, it will feature music, comedy, magic, dance, art and food. The St Mary’s Church Fete will be opened at 11.30am by BBC Oxford’s Jerome Sale.
