FAMILIES were given advice on a range of services at a community fun day on Oxford’s Barton estate.
The event, which took place at Barton Neighbourhood Centre in Underhill Circus on Saturday, was organised by Oxford City Council .
Visitors found out about composting and recycling and the RSPCA microchipped dogs for free.
The day was held to mark the city council’s Cleaner, Greener initiative.
Lorraine Gorringe, 40, attended with her children Ella, nine, and Luke, eight, to get their two dogs chipped.
Ella said: “I would be sad if Tia got lost because she is my favourite dog and I feel happy she is now chipped.”
