9:30am Tuesday 4th September 2012 in News
A 32-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed for 11 years for a “disgraceful, disgusting and depraved offence”.
Dene Bake was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday after he admitted having sex with someone who could not give their consent.
Reporting restrictions prevent the disclosure of the details of the offence.
Bake, of Parkside, Cuddesdon, initially denied the offence but pleaded guilty after more detailed DNA evidence was submitted to the court.
Daren Samat, defending, said: “The defendant cannot begin to express in words how sorry he is for what’s happened “His sorrow and remorse and shame isn’t just a reflection on what he’s done. By a sheer act of lunacy on his part, he’s lost everything.”
Judge Christopher Compston said Bake will “have a very rough time in prison”.
He said: “This was a disgraceful and disgusting and depraved offence.”
Bake will be on the sex offender register for life.
