Oxfam chief to quit the charity

Dame Barbara Stocking, who has been chief executive of Cowley-based charity Oxfam GB for 11 years, will be stepping down in February.

She has held the position, which involves overseeing an annual income of more than £380m and more than 5,000 paid staff based all over the world, since May 2001 after joining from the NHS.

The recruitment process for her successor will begin shortly.
