Man denies stealing lead roofing

A 25-year-old has denied stealing £680 of lead from an Oxford care home.
Robert Newitt, 25, of the Southern Bypass, Oxford, is accused of stealing the lead from Jack Howarth House, Hilltop Road, on May 5.
He appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was bailed to appear at the court for trial on September 10.
