SCALES OF JUSTICE: People convicted of offences at Magistrates' Court recently

  • Paul Williams, 44, of Gatteridge Street, Banbury, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Lockheed Close, Banbury, on July 13. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  • David Fannon, 19, of Danesmore, Banbury, admitted using racially aggravated words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Banbury on January 15 and failing to surrender to court bail on March 23. Fined £100, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £150 costs. Also told to pay £50 compensation.
  • Anibal Jorge Soares-Veira, 42, of Queensway, Didcot, convicted of driving without insurance in Queensway, Didcot, on March 25. Fined £300, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Banned from driving for six months.
  • Beverley Digwood, 51, of Fox Close, Chipping Norton, admitted producing cannabis (Class B) in Chipping Norton on June 12. Given 40 hours’ unpaid work and told to pay £85 costs.
