The trial of a 21-year-old Swindon Town fan accused of defacing Oxford United ’s pitch has been postponed.

Liam Jones was due to stand trial at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday, but the case was adjourned until January 7.

The initials STFC were burned into the Kassam Stadium turf in August last year, pictured.

Jones, of Webbs Wood, Peatmoor, Swindon, denies one charge of causing £2,608 of criminal damage.
