Hospice opens to visitors

HELEN and Douglas House in East Oxford opened its doors at the weekend to give visitors a rare chance to see the work they do.

Helen House children’s hospice, built in 1982, was the first in the world.

On Saturday, staff put on entertainment, a barbecue, and candy floss and face painting for children, while giving guided tours of both houses.

To find out all about it, pick up tomorrow’s Oxford Mail.

I'm sure this will detract the recent criminal behavior of Sister Frances Dominica Ritchie's adopted son who is is quite rightly at this time in jail serving his rather soft sentence for beating up a nun. I am not in any way judging Sister Frances Dominica Ritchie for this BUT something is not all as it seems here, I've a gut feeling, rightly or wrongly .... I feel a scandal coming .....

Oh dear, Father Dowling. I think you've been watching FAR too much day time TV.

Thanks but I've got my own business and before my employees say anything I've put my comments in on my well deserved break, oh HAPPY BIRTHDAY S*****, the best cleaning lady in Oxford

I've been reminded to mention that I and my employees raise money every year for this hospice, as we do for other charities in Oxford.
