Ace Centre to relocate to new site outside Oxford

A LONG-RUNNING Oxford charity which was threatened with closure is to relocate.

The ACE Centre in Headington has provided support for children and adults with communication difficulties for 30 years. It had been set to close on June 30 due to a lack of funding, but has now teamed up with a similar service in Oldham, Lancashire, and is to move to Yarnton Road, Cassington.

Manager Anna Reeves said: “Our goal was to find a site that would meet the needs of all the children and adults we currently support, and which would give us the potential to develop.”

The date and exact location of the new base has not yet been revealed.
