A man has been charged with robbery after a 70-year-old woman had her handbag stolen while walking through the town centre.
The woman had her handbag taken in High Street at around 8.30pm on Monday. She suffered cuts and grazes, but the handbag was recovered.
Shane O’Keeffe, of Kineton, Warwickshire, has been charged with one count of robbery and one count of driving a motor vehicle without insurance.
The 21-year-old has been released on bail to appear before Banbury Magistrates’ Court on October 3.
