Sex assault in city centre

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after an incident in an Oxford city centre alleyway early this morning.
A 22-year-old woman was walking home after a night out when she was sexually assualted near to Nandos restaurant.
There is currently a police cordon in place at the alley which runs off George Street.
Det Sgt Simon Hannam, investigating the incident, said: “If anyone was in the area between around 3am and 5am, and has information to help us with our investigation, then I would like to encourage them to get in touch.”
