Scouts’ new roof

DRY SANDFORD: A scout hut which was left in a ‘shambles’ by a TV makeover show has now had the missing roof installed.

The building off Lashford Lane, in Dry Sandford – home to the 24th Abingdon Scouts – was supposed to have been spruced up for new Channel Five television show Operation Homefront.

This is terrible reporting.

Who restored the roof, the TV company or someone else? Did it cost the scouts anything? were volunteers involved?
