Rural burglaries are connected

POLICE are linking a series of burglaries in West Oxfordshire and have appealed for residents to be vigilant.

The break-ins happened at isolated homes in Filkins, Broadwell, Kingham, Great Rollright, Burford, Ascott-under-Wychwood, Charlbury and Kingham Hill.

Police said the burglaries, which began in September, saw gold jewellery and silverware stolen.

Officers said they were “open-minded” about whether two break-ins at Ducklington, near Witney, may be connected.
