9:30am Tuesday 16th October 2012 in News
ROBBERS wearing motorcycle helmets and brandishing hammers threatened staff at a petrol station before stealing cash.
The raid happened just after midnight yesterday at the BP garage in Carterton Road, Brize Norton.
The two men fled in a red VW Golf, which had a registration plate beginning with L, and was last seen heading towards Brize Norton village.
No-one was injured during the incident.
One attacker was white, in his mid to late 30s, about 5ft 8ins tall, slightly tanned and with dark eyes. He was wearing a black motorcycle helmet.
The other was also white, in his 20s, about 6ft tall, of skinny build, with light coloured hair.
Police said he was wearing a black motorcycle helmet with possibly a silver and red pattern down the sides.
Det Sgt Jim Holmes said: “This was a nasty incident, but thankfully no-one was hurt. I would like to speak to anyone who saw a red VW Golf in the area as well as anyone who recognises the descriptions of the offenders.”
Call Det Sgt Homes at Witney on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
