Cows causing A34 delays

Traffic is at a standstill on the A34 with reports that about a dozen cows are on the road.

There has been an accident, understood to have involved a lorry, on the A34 between the Peartree and Botley junctions.

But reports from the scene suggest between ten and 12 cows are also loose on the road.

Traffic is at a standstill.

This really could cause a lot of hassle for motorists checking the OM website before starting their journeys, seeing the Breaking News and then taking massive diversions!
