GARSINGTON: A 36-year-old man arrested in March 2012 by police investigating a child sex exploitation ring was yesterday released without charge.
Officers from Operation Bullfinch arrested the Garsington man on suspicion of causing prostitution of girls under 18.
In June, seven men were sentenced to a total of 95 years in prison after being convicted of grooming and prostituting girls as young as 11 in the city.
Senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Joe Kidman yesterday said: “Operation Bullfinch is still a major investigation with active lines of enquiry.
“I know there are victims out there who have not yet come forward. We will take you seriously, we will listen and we will work with our partners to get you the support you need. We continue to work hard to bring offenders to justice.”
