Help us to clean up Oxfordshire
2:13pm Monday 5th February 2007 in News
THREE years ago, The Oxford Times launched its Cleanest County campaign. The idea was to highlight some of the worst litter blackspots in Oxfordshire and make the county one of the cleanest in the country.
We had some successes, in particular with a big clean-up on the A34.
It is clear, however, from what our readers are telling us, that things are little better today.
The verges on our major roads and the entrances to our major towns remain messy and litter-strewn.
So, we have decided to dust off our Cleanest County campaign and join battle again.
As before, we want the help of our readers to identify litter blackspots in the county. You tell us where the litter is, and we will do our best to persuade those responsible to clear it up.
You can help our campaign by posting your report here. Simply click on the comment button and tell us exactly where the rubbish is. It helps if you are precise about the location as land ownership can be difficult to define. If you think you know who is responsible for the land, let us know that too.
Alternatively, you can email Reg Little at email@example.com If you have a digital photo, email that to us too.
