Profile:
ARCHITECT Alun Nicholas took a last-minute decision to stand as an independent to protest against party politics. He has no experience in politics but says building a successful business gives him knowledge to be an MP. He is funding his campaign independently and as a Christian says he would apply his personal principles to the job. Mr Nicholas said: “I have lived life in the real world; I have been unemployed for a prolonged period. “I have hands on experience of certain jobs so can relate directly to the working man or woman of Stourbridge, understanding the obstacles they encounter. “I have lived all my life in Stourbridge, when someone talks to me about the town I share their memories, their experiences and their aspirations.”
