Sixty families have returned to their homes in the past month after being forced into temporary accommodation by last summer's floods.
Floods recovery minister John Healey was today due to tell the Association of British Insurers' conference the pace of progress is quickening as increasing numbers of households are able to return to normality.
He will publish figures showing that, as of the end of May, 231 families were still shut out of their homes in Oxfordshire - down from 291 in April.
In Oxford, 24 households are still in temporary accommodation.
In the Vale of White Horse, 81 households are still shut out of their homes.
In west Oxfordshire, the number of families outside their homes is 126, down from 159 in April. But the number in caravans in the district remains at 12.
