Experts on flooding from Holland are coming to Oxford to pool their expertise with councillors.
Representatives from all of Oxford's twin cities, including Leiden in Holland, will converge on Oxford in early November for a flood risk seminar.
Oxford City Council's international officer, May Wylie said: "Aldermen from Lieden and councillors from all our other twins have visited for seminars before, but never on the subject of flooding.
"After last year's flooding though we are very pleased to be hosting this seminar.
"Our partners, particularly those from Holland, are experts in this area and we think the help and advice they can give us is invaluable."
