A drive to reduce teenage pregnancy in Lambeth is due to be launched next month.
Youth workers and council representatives will put Government iniatives under the microscope and look at ways to help teenage parents at a Tackling Teenage Pregnancy conference.
It is being held at Millwall Football and will include keynote speakers in the field, including Cathy Hamlyn, head of the Teenage Pregnancy Unit. Lambeth chief executive Faith Boardman will also speak.
A ten-year plan to reduce teenage pregnancy will also be unveiled, alongside workshops on topics such as sex and relationship education in school.
The conference is open to everyone who works with young people in Lambeth, and to all those concerned with improving teenage sexual health, lowering the teenage pregnancy rate and assisting young mothers and fathers.
The free conference takes place on Thursday, March 7 from 9.30am - 4.15pm.
