ONE of the top events in the Essex road running calendar takes place in town on Sunday -- the ninth Harlow `10' organised by Harlow Running Club.
This year's event promises to have a quality battle in the women's race as two of England's team for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games marathon, Danielle Sanderson and Zara Hyde, have declared their intentions to compete.
The men's race, too, should be highly competitve with entries coming in from all over the UK.
Junior athletes will be taking part in the 3km race for 11 to 16 year-olds which takes place during the main race and is contested on paths around the Sportcentre complex. The 10-mile event begins at 10.30am and the 3km at 10.45am.
Entries on the day are most welcome but please register by 9.30am if possible at the Ski Lodge.~
