December 12, 2000 12:31: Wilmington Football Clubs fixture crisis was heightened at the weekend when their Kent Junior Cup tie against Blackhorse was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Torrtential rain on Saturday morning left the Oakfield Park pitch unplayable. The clubs will try again this Saturday.

The only one of Wilmingtons teams to fulfil a fixture was the third team, who made the short trip to play Brooklands

Reserves in the Gravesend League.

Wilmington, keen to avenge a 3-1 defeat when the sides met the previous Saturday found themselves a goal a down at the interval despite playing well in the first 45 minutes

But they got the due rewards midway through the second half when Terry Lawrence equalised.
