Madeley really should grow up

Madeley really should grow up
Exposed to a witless “oo-er missus” approach to sex at Wycombe Swan’s Funny Peculiar on Tuesday night (reviewed elsewhere on this site), I awoke the following morning to further confirmation that where supposedly ‘adult’ matters are concerned some of our fellow countrymen remain juvenile to a depressing degree.
This revelation came courtesy of BBC Radio 2’s breakfast show which during a fortnight’s absence by Chris Evans — he seems especially well furnished with holidays, incidentally — is being hosted by Richard Madeley (left).
In the studio with him, reviewing the newspapers, was Nina Myscow. One report featured was from The Independent, concerning our top-ten donors to charity.
The problem arose with the gentleman who occupies the runner-up position. Ms Myscow, whom I know to be a woman of robust intelligence, let herself down on this occasion by saying that she could not possibly give utterance to his surname.
Richard agreed that the name was was so outrageous as to be unmentionable on the airwaves at this hour of the day (about 7.30am).
By so doing, of course, he guaranteed that we would all be rushing for copies of The Indy or going on-line to discover the identity of Anurag Dikshit. Oh grow up, please!
