THE death of a teenager who drowned after jumping from Oxford's Donnington Bridge was an accident, a coroner has ruled.
Mohammad Hussain, 15, of Cumberland Road, drowned after jumping into the River Thames with Megan Simmons, then 16, at about 8.30pm on May 25 last year.
The inquest at Oxford's County hall today heard sea cadets practising on the river nearby, firefighters and passersby all joined the attempt to rescue the youngster, who had recently been accepted on an engineering course at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College.
