Traffic delays in Carterton this morning after car hits lamp post

A CAR crashed into a lamp post in Carterton this morning causing traffic delays.

The incident on the B4477 Monahan Way near to the BP service station has now been cleared.

I would hardly say they are 'going on' about it, in fact if anything this report is completely pointless as it is so short I don't know why they even bothered! However sounds to me like your Grandfather is yet another OAP on the road who shouldn't be driving.

I think you will find oaps have fewer crashes. People who have just past thier test or think they are cool showing off and wanna be boy racers have the most. I spoke to this reporter yesterday on the phone. you dont know what happened do you. no didnt think so

I don't think many people know what happened, smallest news report I've ever seen.

To be fair those lamp posts are more dangerous than those kids that have just passed their tests, they jump out in front of you, and didn't need to take a theory test when installed. Oh and most of them don't have lights on!
