MY what big teeth you have. Children stared at the giant incisors of an orca whale yesterday at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History.
Five year-old Toby Lacey had a whale of a time on his trip from Buckinghamshire to the museum on Parks Road.
The five-year-old and his sister Anna, three, were thrilled to see the monsters of the deep and Toby said: “Today was a double thumbs-up fun day. I really enjoyed eating in the cafe and making my hat.”
Anna joined Toby to make whale hats during the half-term fun day.
Their mother Davina said: “We had just come to see the museum. It was brilliant to discover there were lots of activities going on.
“They were shown the exhibits, so when they were making the hats they were staring and looking at the tusks. It was really fantastic.”
The whale fun continues today from 1pm to 4pm.
The museum’s interpretation and education officer, Rachel Parle, said: “Everybody seems really happy.”
