A CYCLIST was taken to hospital last night after a collision with a police car.
The vehicle was on its way to an emergency call at about 11.30pm when it happened, near the Tesco store at the Cowley eastern bypass junction.
The 25-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said the collision was “low level” and the force would not be referring itself to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
She said: “A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
An investigation was carried out at the scene and no further action is being taken.”
