A HOME for the disabled is still failing to keep its residents completely safe from harm, a report has found.

An inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in January highlighted five areas of concern about Piggy Lane in Bicester.

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the home, pledged to tackle them all by the end of March.

But following another inspection in April, the CQC said action was still needed over care and welfare of residents, monitoring of service quality and patient records.

It said the trust had met concerns about safeguarding residents from abuse and lack of staff but checks on sharing patient information did not happen when managers were off, it found.

It said staff showed “warmth, compassion and respect” but checks on quality and safety were “not yet sufficiently effective”.

Trust spokesman Natalie Duffy said the findings “remain unacceptable” and it has a “robust action plan”
