THE annual festivities of the Eynsham Carnival took over the village centre on Saturday.

The event saw dancing, craft stalls and a parade, as well as live music performances and even a llama show-jumping display.

Eynsham resident Jane Stephenson attended with her Morris group Armaleggan to join Eynsham Morris in a showcase of different styles.

The 38-year-old said: “We were Eynsham Morris’s guests, which was a real privilege. We were showing our two different styles of Morris dancing.

“Eynsham do Cotswold Morris and we do Border Morris. It was really interesting to see them done together.”

Ms Stephenson said she joined Armaleggan three years ago but only moved to the village, from Cumnor, one year ago.

She said: “It was nice to be dancing within my community for the first time.”
