A YOUNG girl had all her dreams come true after spending a magical day on the set of a new Disney music video.

Four-year-old Charlotte Wilks, from Watlington, won a competition to star in Natasha Bedingfield’s music video for Disney’s Tinkerbell and the Pirate Fairy.

The youngster, who attends Love Lane’s Rainbow Corner Day Nursery, battled against thousands of others from across the country hoping to win a spot in Bedingfield’s Who I Am. The song is the first track for Disney’s latest fairy adventure.

Mother Alexa Wilks, 39, said: “It was lovely, it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

“We never really expected to win and when we realised how many entries there had been, we felt really lucky that we won.”

Mrs Wilks entered her daughter into the online competition after watching the animated film in the cinema. It is the sixth addition to the Tinkerbell film franchise.

After receiving an email notifying them of the win, the family travelled to London’s Black Island Studios to be among 25 other lucky winners starring in the video.

But when given the chance to become either a princess or a pirate, Charlotte opted for being a pirate.

Donning a colourful glittery skirt and white satin top and carrying a pirate sword, she spent the day dancing away to the theme tune.

Against a backdrop of green screens, she perfomed the choreography she had spent the day learning.

Mrs Wilks said: “She looked so lovely and she had such a good day.

“To see your daughter on the TV, it’s something I will remember forever.”

The film is now available on Disney Blu-ray™ and DVD.
