A father suffering with terminal cancer needs to raise £10,000 to take his two young sons on an unforgettable family trip to Disney World.

Paddy Juste, from Witney, was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 24.

The 28-year-old is hoping to take Connor, five, and Kian, three, on their first trip abroad before he becomes too ill to travel.

His mum Linda Baker, 50, from Blackbird Leys, had her right kidney removed in February last year after contracting kidney cancer.

Mrs Baker said: “He is not going to get this chance again.

“He will never take them for their first pint, he will never see them get married, he will never be a grandad.

“That really hurts him, knowing he won’t see his children grow up.”

With the family struck by cancer for the second time, they are now uniting to raise all the funds needed for the American trip.

Mrs Baker said: “I was thinking of writing to Richard Branson and see if he can give us some tickets on one of his flights, but I suppose he gets thousands of letters.”

Mr Juste’s sister Kelly Wood, 25, is set to shave her hair off in aid of the fundraising plea and has already raised more than £2,000.

Miss Wood, from Carterton, said: “He’s my big brother. It’s horrible for me to see him go through this.

“This is my way of doing something. I can’t give him a cure, I can’t make him better, I can’t stop what’s going to happen but I can just create this memory for his boys that he thought he would never be able to do.”

The mother-of-two will have her head shaved at a fundraiser at the Golden Eagle, in Black Bourton Road, Carterton, on Monday, August 25.

Plasterer Mr Juste said: “I am completely overwhelmed by the support and the generosity from family, friends and people who I don’t even know.

“It’s been incredible and I can’t put in words how much it means to me and my family.”

After Mr Juste suffered an unexplained seizure in November 2009, an MRI scan revealed a lump on his brain. Neurosurgeons at the John Radcliffe Hospital said it had been there much of his life.

After further seizures it was removed in August 2010.

But eight days later he was given six to eight years to live after medics discovered the tumour was more aggressive than originally thought.

Two days later he learnt his wife and full-time carer Kim, 32, was pregnant with their second son.

Though radiotherapy seemed to have kept the tumour at bay for a while, the family heard in June that it was continuing to grow.

He is now recovering after another operation yesterday morning.
